All customer and subscriber data is stored on servers in Germany (Hetzner, Falkenstein). Email delivery is routed through infrastructure in Ireland (eu-west-1). No personal data is transferred outside the European Union.
Yes. Under GDPR you must have a valid legal basis to email someone — usually consent given through a clear opt-in. ExcellenceMail enforces double opt-in by default for any list grown through our forms, and we ask you to confirm consent for any list you import. We may suspend accounts that send to non-consenting recipients.
In real time. Hard bounces and spam complaints are removed from sending lists immediately. Soft bounces are retried on a backoff schedule and then suppressed. You see all of this in your campaign reports — no surprises later.
You should — and we strongly recommend it. Sending from your own authenticated domain is what builds long-term reputation. We help you set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC during onboarding.
You can export everything before closing. Once you confirm closure, your subscriber data is deleted within 30 days. Account data is kept for up to 12 months for billing and legal reasons, then deleted. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
